We opened our doors in 1891.

At Crown Linen, we’ve been serving the needs of our communities for over 125 years. Over the last century, we’ve thrived in a highly competitive market as one of the oldest family-owned-and-operated businesses in mid-Missouri.

We’ve been operating for over 125 years.

We started as Mexico Steam Laundry, providing men’s starched shirts and detachable collars and cuffs. But over the last century, we’ve expanded, adding new products and processes. We’re not resistant to change, but we’re not new to linen services either. That’s why our customers trust us with their laundry.

We deliver to over 2,600 restaurants, hospitals and factories across the region.

We serve a wide range of industries, including businesses in the food service, medical and hotel industries. Customer service is our first priority. If our customers aren’t happy, we’re not happy.

We employ over 140 people.

We have two processing facilities: one in Mexico, Missouri and one in Columbia, Illinois. Even though we’ve grown, we strive for the same family-owned feel that we’ve been known for since the beginning. We’ve been providing quality products with excellent service for over a century, and we don’t intend to stop anytime soon.

We process over 460,000 pounds of linen each and every week.

To break it down further, we process about 160,000 pounds of linen in our Mexico, Missouri facility and the other 300,000 pounds in our Columbia, Illinois facility. That’s the equivalent of 3,680,000 napkins every week!

Our stainless steel washers hold 900 pounds of laundry.

Even though we’re over a hundred years old, our technology isn’t. Our high-tech stainless steel washers have long replaced our wooden washers. Also, our microprocessors control our detergent, bleaches and anti-chlorine rinses to make sure that all 2,600 of our customers get the finest and cleanest finish possible.
