New Green Initiative at Crown Linen

At Crown Linen, going green is extremely important. We strive to find new, innovative ways to reduce any negative impact on the environment.

As a business in the linen and laundry industry, going green has its challenges. However, it provides a great opportunity to get creative and find long-term solutions that work.

Recently, our team met and discussed our plastic usage. We’ve been covering all of our carts of clean linen with plastic bags. These bags helped us keep our linens organized to ensure they went to the right customers.

As much as these plastic bags were helpful to us and our customers, we knew there had to be a better, more greener way to get the job done. By working together, our team came up with an environmentally-friendly solution.

We are discontinuing the use of plastic bags and moving to color-coded cart covers. These reusable covers will reduce the number of plastic bags used by 68,000 in just one year! Each hospitality account will have its own color to help ensure accuracy, so it’s a true win-win for everyone involved.
